THE BEST ADVENT CALENDARS OF 2017 THAT AREN'T JUST BEAUTY

That's right..

THE FIRST FESTIVE POST OF THE YEAR AND I'M SO READY.

I love a beauty advent calendar as much as the next person, but in my searching for what to treat myself to this year, I came across some really unusual calendars that are fab!

I've also tried to choose calendars that are actually in my price range; because we all wish we could afford a Liberty, Selfridges AND Diptique advent calendars but let's get real (some are a little expensive but I just couldn't leave them out).

Yankee Candle
£20.50

I buy a Yankee Candle advent calendar every year. They are the best value and you get a little tea light sized candle each day, on some days you get a slightly bigger size. They're all Christmas scented so they make you feel so festive. I also found this one slightly cheaper on Amazon (you're welcome).

Holland & Barrett
£35

This is one I have never seen before and I love this idea! It's full of natural skincare items that look a little different to your usual Micellar Water travel size bottles. For £35 I think it's a pretty reasonable price too, this will be on my wishlist for sure.

Lush
£67.50

How could I not include my fave, Lush. I now have a bath in my apartment (yay), which means I will without a doubt be getting this advent calendar - I swear I'm going to end up with 6 doors to open each day and a negative balance in my bank account.

This is a 12 Days of Christmas rather than your regular 24 but it's beautiful. It's a little more of a splurge but for the joy it brings me, it's totally worth it.

Kikki K
£90

Now this is PRICEY. And I will not be buying this for myself, but I think it is an amazing idea and I wanted to share for anyone who may want to splurge on this. I absolutely adore Kikki K as a brand, if you are a stationery lover and have not checked them out, you seriously need to. This advent calendar looks beautiful and right up my street so I had to include it in this post, it's very expensive though. *cries*

ASOS
£55

Okay, so this is a beauty one. But the ASOS advent calendar is beautiful and I think it is really great value for money. From what I can see, it has some gems in there this year! I just checked the website and since starting this post it has sold out, I have my fingers and toes crossed that it comes back in stock so I can grab one (I'll let you guys know too).

So there are a few unusual ideas for you, rather than having enough skincare/eyeshadows/lipsticks to last you three lifetimes (which I definitely have no issue with), it's nice to have something a little different!

Please let me know if you find another great advent calendar (beauty or otherwise) so I can spend even more money on opening those little doors in December.

Lots of love,

Elise

  1. Excellent picks! I hadn't heard of the Holland & Barrett calendar before but it sounds like such a great way to try out some new brands I wouldn't pick up normally, will need to check it out! xx
