Canadian Thanksgiving

This weekend we celebrated our first thanksgiving, and I have A LOT to be thankful for. In the last year we have lived in Australia and now Canada; we have jobs, a lovely apartment and are very happy and healthy. Today was such a lovely chilled day and I just wanted to share.

This morning we popped to the shop (after a Tim Hortons latte) to buy dinner supplies; very late I know, blame Mark. And we also picked up pumpkins because who says you should wait until halloween to cut out silly faces on pumpkins.

We then got back to the apartment and chilled out on our new sofa (blog post on our new apartment furniture coming soon) whilst watching Disney movies.

Then it was time for pumpkin carving. Mark had never done this before but his pumpkin was pretty impressive. I forgot how messy it can be, but also so fun at the same time and how I am feeling very ready for Halloween.

I cooked Thanksgiving Dinner (my first roast dinner ever).. but totally forgot to take a photo to document it before we tucked in! It was delicious, I promise.

Then we ended the day decorating autumn ('fall' for Canadians) cupcakes, cosy candles and snuggles on the sofa.

Lots of love,

Elise Rose
