A slightly different Lush post

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and my lovely mummy bought me TONS of Lush stuff. I couldn't fit it all in this post, but here's some of the more unusual, but still amazing, products.

Now most people have seen the beautiful bath bombs but I thought I'd do a post on some of my favourite lotions, scrubs and make-up.

Sugar Scrub

I've tried some exfoliating soap from Lush (which I love), but I'd never tried a sugar scrub. If you have sensitive skin, I'd definitely recommend having nice wet skin first and making sure the bar is starting to dissolve slightly. This is great because it works as a gentle or a slightly more vigorous scrub depending on how you use it.

Mask of Magnaminty

This minty face mask really wakes up your skin! If I'm having a particularly tired or sluggish day I sit in the bath with this face mask on, or put it on ten minutes before a shower. Once you rinse it off, your face feels so fresh and awake! It's also particularly good for outbreaks on your skin (and you can also use it on your back).

Rub Rub Rub

I absolutely love the smell of this. It's so fresh and just gorgeous. When used in the shower, this scrub is pretty gentle; but if you want a more vigorous exfoliant, you can use it before the shower and then wash it off once you get in. You can also use it in your hair which I'm yet to try. The fresh scent lingers all day and it leaves my skin feeling really smooth, and works especially well on my feet!

Blue Skies and Fluffy White clouds

I couldn't do a lush post without at least one bath bomb. This is another fresh product. I use a bit of this bubble bar paired with the 'Mask of Magnaminty' to wake me up on a tired morning, perfect.

'Happiness' Eyeshadow

This is the first of the Lush eyeshadow range that I've tried. I love that it's called Happiness. It's a beautiful copper gold colour. Even though it looks like it would be particularly vivid on application, it's really buildable so you don't need to reserve it for heavy makeup only.

Are there any particular unusual Lush products that you love?

  1. I loooooove the intensity of rub rub rub! But I couldn't stand the smell myself! Mine smelled so chemically, such a shame, but I'd definitely buy it again purely because it's just that amazing at smoothing out the skin!
Fab post - I much prefer hearing about the Lush products people love beyond the bathbombs!

    1. aw no way, I absolutely love the scent! Yeah it's soo good on the skin isn't it! Aw thank you :)

  2. I've never bought any thing apart from the bath bombs in lush! I think I might try the rub rub rub as my first thing :)

    1. You should definitely get it, it's easily my favourite exfoliator!
