The best cookies you'll ever taste

I found this incredible recipe here from 'Vivianna Does Makeup' and decided to give it a go myself!
The outcome is insane, you're seriously missing out if you don't try these.

So you need:

275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
300g caster sugar
250g unsalted butter
1 large egg
3 big bars of chocolate (your choice)
a splash of milk

My Attempt

First I pre-heated the oven to 200°c (for a fan oven, 220°c for an electric) before I did anything. Next I creamed together the butter and sugar, chop the butter into small chunks and give it a quick whizz in the microwave to make it easier. I then added the egg and mixed until it looked pretty good.

I next added the flour and cocoa power and had a little arm workout whilst trying to form a cookie dough, you'll need to add the splash of milk here to bring it all together.

I then broke up the chocolate and added it all into the dough so it was evenly distributed, I actually ended up using about 2 and a half bars because there was so much of it!

You then line trays with greaseproof paper and make little handful size balls out of the mixture (the recipe says it makes 12, mine made 13). Make sure not to put the balls too close together or the cookies may fuse together, I used three baking trays.

Cook them for 10 minutes and then when you take them out it says to leave them for half an hour. This is essential because if you eat them straight from the oven they just fall apart because they need to set a little!

And after the agonising wait, you're done and you now have the most amazing cookies known to man!

Thank you so much to Vivianna for sharing! If you try this recipe, tweet me your pictures at @eliseroseblogs
