March Birchbox Review

Let's begin with stating how beautiful this box is. Gorgeous colours and design, this will definitely be put to use somewhere in my room. Birchbox have teamed up with Habitat this month and the theme this month was 'Do try this at home' (love it) and they've included a voucher for 20% off at Habitat, thanks guys.

Here is what I got in my lovely Birchbox this month.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

I already got my hands on a sample of the Roller Lash mascara, as did most of the blogging population. So I'm sure you've already heard... it's fab.

Catherine Malandrino Perfume Sample

I am a creature of habit when it comes to perfume, I always stick to one I know. I'm pretty liberal when I spray it so I don't like to spend too much on the perfume I wear daily, for special occasions I love Lady Million or Daisy. Anyway, what I'm basically trying to say is that it's nice to get a sample to try out a new perfume! This has a gorgeous fresh, fruity scent which I love. Will definitely be getting the most out of this little sample.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

I haven't actually tried this yet. I'm having a party for my birthday on Saturday and I hope to use it when I'm pampering myself just before! If you follow me on twitter (@eliseroseblogs) then I'll let you know what it's like! I've heard good things so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

I love this. My skin has had a few breakouts recently so I've tried to be careful what I put on it. This mask made my skin feel really fresh and glowing, and it still feels lovely a couple of days later!

Tan Organic Self Tanning Oil

I was a bit skeptical about this. I'm so pale and I hate looking orange. It has a pretty strong citrus scent which I'm not sure if I like or not. I'm also planning to use this in my pamper session on the weekend. It promises to moisturise and create a 'natural looking glow' so I'll let you know how I get on (wish me luck!)

'A Perfect Heritage' by Penny Vincenzi Book chapter

This isn't something I was expecting in my box, but I think it's a really nice idea. Who wants to buy a whole book and then end up not liking it. By reading a chapter you get a nice feel of it and then can decide to purchase it if you want to read more. I will be taking this in my bag for the bus trips into uni.

I am a bit obsessed with stationary. This little notebook has 'Here's the plan...' written on the front and I love it, so cute! The only slight change I would make would be to make the pages lined, but I can live with that. I mean it's not like I need another notebook to add to my collection, but I'm not going to complain.

Do you like the look of any of these products? Or have you tried them before?

  1. I think this is a pretty good box with the exception of the tanning product because I don't tan. Love the sound of the mask too, and Ren is a brand that I have read many good reviews on.

    1. Yeah I agree! I'm so pale, I look stupid with a tan. I love finding new brands with boxes like these!

  2. That notebook is so cute. I love the idea of this box, nice to have something different and a bit of a theme each month.
